What to eat during intermittent fasting

Hello friends and welcome to the last post in this series. Joel Marion, the author of Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight has sponsored this series but the experience, outcome, and opinions are all my own.

Before we get started, here are the links to the other three posts for those who need to get caught up.

POST ONE | POST TWO | POST THREE |

As I close out this series I want to discuss the area of the book that makes it possible to sustain this as a way of life and not a diet you follow for a period of time. The chapter is called Success Starts In The Mind and it’s all about our mindset.

In Always Eat After 7 PM, Joel stresses the importance of being “mentally prepared and relentlessly tough from the neck up” to achieve great things in your life, including weight loss.

In this chapter, he shares the 10 essential mindset strategies that will help you succeed in all areas of your life.

#7 is something I’ve always said and I was happy to see him list this in the book.

Allow yourself bad moments, not bad days

When I was unschooling my kids, I followed a woman who was a long time unschooling parent. One time, in an online forum she was replying to someone who said they were having a bad day. She said, no you’re not. You’re having a bad moment.

That stayed with me until this day and I try to never label a whole day as bad when in fact it might be just a bad morning. This alone has helped me push past hurdles and move forward with my day.

#8 is something I used to tell my clients when I was a fitness instructor.

Recognize failure as a teacher, not a final destination

It’s super important to analyze your failures and see where you could have done better. Failure is a signal that something is not working and instead of giving up, use it as a tool to figure out a better way.

I hope you enjoyed this series. I’ll continue posting about my weight loss journey and more about Always Eat After 7PM, especially as I start making some of the delicious recipes in the book.

Learn more about the book and how to purchase here.

Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion is now available to purchase.

The Always Eat After 7 PM plan consists of the 14-day Acceleration Phase to kick-start the program and see rapid results, The Main Phase where you’ll learn exactly which foods to eat when in order to achieve your weight-loss goals and The Lifestyle Phase to keep the weight off for good

This post is brought to you by our sponsor, “Always Eat After 7 PM”. The opinions expressed are my own.
