My birthday was last week (January 25) and I had such a great day! First, my husband and I went to Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grille for dinner. We had our usual, which is so delicious just thinking about it makes me want to go back right now. I had the Mahi Burger which comes either grilled or blackened and is served on a bun with lettuce, tomato & onion. So juicy and amazing I could eat it every day. Billy had the Bacon Jam Burger which features their sweet and smoky signature bacon jam and comes with cheddar cheese, mayo, lettuce & onion.
After that, we saw Cirque Italia! I was thrilled to be asked to cover their Ocala, Florida stop and I was compensated for my coverage but as always, my words, thoughts, and opinions are my own.
The Ocala stop was held at the Southeastern Livestock Pavillion, which is an outdoor arena mainly used by the horse riding competition circuit that frequently comes to this area. I was curious because although this is Florida, having an outdoor event at nighttime, at the end of January would never have worked. Not to worry! Cirque Italia travels with their own customized tent which houses everything from stage, to concessions, restrooms, and ticket sales. When I walked in I completely forgot I was on the grounds of the Livestock Pavillian. The stage area is intimate and has only 13 rows of circular seating around the stage, making for a wonderful up close and personal experience, for both the viewers and the performers.
Created in 2012, Cirque Italia is an amazing show filled with talented performers and entertainers. As a traveling circus, they bring a certain charm to the communities they visit and attract those looking for some family-friendly entertainment. Contortionists, acrobatics, jugglers and even a team of rollerbladers bring excitement to each act.
You can purchase tickets on their website, cirqueitalia.com, phone/text, (941) 704-8572 or at the box office. Box office hours are as follows;
Non-show days: 10 am – 6 pm
On show days: 10 am – 9 pm
More Ocala fun: Butterfly Festival at the library
My friend and fellow blogger Dawn Lopez from Cutefetti was also there with her family. It’s always fun to mingle with other local bloggers! Dawn is such an asset to Ocala and the blogging community. Go check out her post on Cirque Italia.
If you follow me on Instagram (joannegreco777), you may have seen this in my story during the show.
After the show was finished there was a meet and greet with the performers. I loved that they each wore a banner displaying the country they were from.
If you have the opportunity to see Cirque Italia, go see it because you’ll have a blast!

This sounds like such an awesome show! I saw some video from it and the acts were just amazing. I hope to see it when/if it comes to my area 🙂
Happy belated birthday! You actually have the same birthday as my daughter, she turned 10 on the 25th! This would be an amazing way to celeabrate a birthday, such amazing performers!
