My nine-year-old daughter love to be creative. She’s always making or remaking something, sometimes with my help, sometimes on her own. She decided she wanted to make a t-shirt using some of the fabric paint we have. I dug out a white t-shirt for her and she asked me to trace, in pencil, what she wanted to write.
Here’s the final product.
I just love her.
In 2002, I began to chronicle my adoption journey and created Forever Parents, a supportive online community for adoptive and waiting parents. Over the next year, we grew our support forums to include an adoption shop and a blog. Forever Parents stayed active, helping thousands of people for over ten years. I’m in the process of updating and moving all the posts to this blog, in the Forever Parents section. This post was originally published on January 2, 2008.
Love the shirt. 3 of my 4 siblings were adopted, as were many of my cousins, neices, and nephews. I can’t imagine life without my adopted family members
