Can you do me a favor?
Please stop saying you’re having a bad day.
In actuality, you’re probably having a bad moment, or a bad morning (afternoon, or evening), but don’t condemn the whole day as bad.
Unless something traumatic happens early in your day, more than likely your whole day is not going to be bad. You may have lost your car keys one morning and ended up being late for an appointment, but that’s just a moment in time. True, it may have been a bad moment in time, but you still have another 15 hours (give or take) left in your day.
Also, if you have any belief in the law of attraction, stating out loud “I’m having a bad day”, gives you more of the same. Even if you don’t believe in the law of attraction, why chance it?
My mother’s favorite saying was, “this too shall pass”. I think of that often when something doesn’t go the way I wanted it to go, or I find myself in a bad situation.
Because it will pass. The clouds will part and the sun will come out again.
So do me that favor, okay?
The next time you catch yourself saying or thinking, “I’m having a bad day”, replace that with, “I’m having a bad moment”.
And then go out and make the rest of your day awesome!
This is so true and could not agree with you more.
What a timely post for me. About a week ago, I reprimanded one of my daughters for misbehaving. It upset her that I yelled. About half an hour later, I heard her snapping at her sister about everything commenting “I’m having a bad day.” I pulled her aside and reminded her of all the fun and good things that had transpired before she got in trouble. I asked if her “bad day” was because she got in trouble. She said yes. I told her she was having a bad 5 minute not a bad day. I asked if that was accurate and she said yes. I haven’t heard “I’m having a bad day” since.
Love this Joanne! So true!
The Law of Attraction is powerful. Thank for sharing this. Now I’ll do the same. 🙂
I love this! <3
