Feb 2019: Life Updates

Hey friends! Our life is starting to settle into a new normal. When things take a turn that you weren’t prepared for, life gets turned upside down.

Getting custody of our two and three years old (now four-year-old) grandchildren is something that we’re so grateful for because we love them with all our heart. It’s not easy, but it’s family.

As is always the case though, we deal with it, take a deep breath and move forward.

It’s been life altering for me because some areas of my life had to take a back seat, such as my writing my blog and the work I get from it. Luckily we have my husband’s salary plus income from a rental property so we’ve never had to depend on it.

Even so, my blog has been neglected and it’s time to change that. The first thing I’m going to focus on is redirecting all the content I have from my previous blogs, to this one. My writing is scattered all over the internet and I need to pull it all together, in one place. The two blogs I want to start with are my adoption blog and my unschooling blog since they have years of content. It’s going to be a long process but if I can do a little at a time I should be done by 2020. lol

Hope all is well with you! Enjoy the rest of February.

Big changes, even ones for the better can take a lot of getting used to. I can only imagine how hard and amazing it must have been for you and the littles! I am glad you plan on sharing your wisdom online with others who will struggle with similar things!

I am specially interested in your unschool blog plans! We have always homeschooled the kids and done so in many different ways. Right now we have an 11 year that is focusing most of time on art while her siblings have a more structured education. I love that they don’t even question why they are doing Math and she isn’t right now. They all have different focuses! You know how it is!

it’s hard to have so much content so many places when you’ve been writing for a long time! hopefully you and the littles are settling in nicely.
