We had season passes for Walt Disney World in Orlando for a couple of years and we loved the time we spent roaming Animal Kingdom! Since we homeschooled our kids, we would hop in the car and in less than an hour be at their front door.
Most of these photos were from the same day and they show some of our favorite parts of Animal Kingdom.
The Tree Of Life is the majestic focal point of Animal Kingdom! It’s massive and impressive.
Animal Kingdom Tree of Life Facts
- The Tree of Life is 145 feet tall.
- It has over 300 animals carved into it.
- It has over 8000 branches
- The tree is one of the few artificial greenery in the park.
DiVine, the walking vine
DiVine brings beauty and grace to Animal Kingdom. You’ll usually find her “hanging around” on the path between Africa and Asia. Keep an eye out or you might walk right past her!
Daisy Duck with Huey, Dewey and Louie.
DinoLand USA – if your child loves dinosaurs, make sure to spend time at DinoLand USA. Check out our video slideshow.
Fishing with the boys; Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Pluto.
Kilimanjaro safaris animals
Take a tour of the open-air Kilimanjaro Safaris and see some of the beautiful creatures who call Disney their home.
Animal Kingdom Rides
Animal Kingdom has rides for every age and level. Primeval Whirl is one of our favorite rides! You get a great view of the park. My daughter lost a baby tooth while we were riding one day – lol.
Exhibition Everest is in Asia and is a must for the thrill-seekers in your family. We loved it!
All in all, this is a great park for everyone. There are several shows always going on and rides for all ages. Pick up a map and check the board for showtimes.
If you only have one day to spend at Animal Kingdom and want to get the most out of it, take a look at this 1 Day Animal Kingdom Itinerary.

I’ve never seen a trunk like the one on the Tree of Life!
Those are all awesome shots! It’s been a very long time since I’ve been to either Disney World or Disneyland – they didn’t have that when I was there, so that probably tells you how long it’s been. Apparently I’m waaaaaaaaaaaaay overdue for a trip there. 😉
So cool to visit Disney. The last one I visited was two years ago when we went to Tokyo
I love Animal Kingdom. I think it’s my favourite Disney park.
Awesome photos mom
I’ve never been to Animal Kingdom. Just Magic Kingdom and Epcot Centre. You grabbed some really great photos, by the way!
