My husband & I adopted our three children in 2003. They were 5, 8 and 11 at the time, and had been in foster care for four years. They’re also siblings.
This is one of my favorite family photos, even though I wish the quality was better. It was taken at the Hilton where we had our adoption party to celebrate with family and friends.

That’s amazing, Joanne. It takes a special person with a large heart to be able to love a child as if they created them. Your family looks amazing and I’m sure they are all shaping up to become awesome adults.

I love this! Both my brother (biological cousin) and I were adopted when we were only a few days old. I have a very soft spot for parents who choose to adopt. Our lives would have been vastly different without our adopted parents.
