Celebrate summer with these fun outdoor water activities your kids will love!! You probably already have all the items you need.
1. Water Balloon Relay – one of the best fun water games
Fill balloons with water – two for each child. Divide them equally into two buckets. Have the kids line up away from the buckets and on your word, the first player from each team runs to their bucket, puts a balloon on the floor and bounces on it until it bursts. Then they run back to their team and tags the next player. The team that pops all their balloons first is the winning team.
2. Ice Action – easy water games to play outside (invite some friends)!
Fill an ice cube tray and put it in the freezer long enough to form a thin crust of ice at the top, maybe about 20-25 minutes. Poke small action figures into the ice and put them back in the freezer until the ice is solid. Now it’s race time!! Bring them outside and use a slide or smooth board to race them.
3. Ice Pick Up – water games to play on a hot day
Put a bag of ice cubes in kiddie pool and give each player a bowl. In the word “Go”, each player uses their feet to take out the ice cubes and transfer them to their bowl. Who ever gets the most ice cubes in their bowl in five minutes is the winner. If the ice melts in the bowl, measure water to determine the winner.
