We visited the Florida Aquarium with our children in 2007, so when our four-year-old granddaughter wanted to go we knew she would enjoy it!
Florida Aquarium Hours
The Florida Aquarium is open every day from 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM. The only two days they are closed is Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Since they’re only open until 5:00 PM and it’s about a 90-minute ride to Tampa, we got an early start on the day. First things first, a selfie with my girl.
What Animals Are At The Florida Aquarium
The Florida Aquarium staff works to protect and restore animal species and their habitats They focus on three animals that play enormous roles in managing our ocean.
Sea turtles ā because they are barometers of marine health;
Sharks ā because they are essential top-down managers of marine ecosystems; and
Coral ā because they are building blocks of marine habitats and oxygen-giving marine organisms.
There are many other animals and sea life creatures that live at The Florida Aquarium and we’ll meet some of them in this post.

This aquarium is the best! My favorite part is where they let you play with the penguins!

What a neat place to visit. We have been trying to organize a trip to Florida and I know my kids would enjoy the aquarium. That sea turtle is huge!
