View From The Empire State Building

Being born and raised in NYC has it’s perks like the amazing history and stunning architechure of some of the building and landmarks. Over the years I’ve been to the Empire State Building many times and even worked there – in a photo lab on the 14th floor. I want to share photos from all four sides of the Empire State Building. It’s a spectacular view and I didn’t do it justice with these photos (taken in 2007).

West view facing the Hudson River. That’s New Jersey on the other side of the river.

South view. You would see the World Trade Center at this view, prior to September 11, 2001.

South view from Empire State Building

North view looking at the Met Life Building (formally known as The Pan Am Building) and The Chrysler Building.

North view from Empire State Building

East view facing the East River. That’s Brooklyn and Queens on the other side of the river.

I have never been on top of empire state building but New York looks so big from there. I have only been on Sears Tower in Chicago.

Living in South Florida I do not see views like that very often. Breathtaking in such a different way than the beach! Beautiful!

Your ‘Wordless Wednesday’ post looks like mine! I never can just post a picture or two. Guess that’s why we are bloggers- gotta write about it! I’ve never been to NYC, even though I live on the east coast. Its on my bucket list, just waiting for my crew to get big enough to leave, then I think I deserve a solo Mama trip to the big city! Definitely will be visit the Emipre State building when I do get to visit!

I’ve been to New York three times this summer and have yet to visit the Empirw State Building! What a great view. New York is only two hours away so I think I’ll run up before summer is up.
