If you love the chicken salad sandwich at Chick-Fil-A, try this copycat version at home. The crunchy chopped celery and tangy relish give this already delicious sandwich a two thumbs up.
This is the perfect sandwich for lunch, at home or on the go. It packs well for picnics also.

Ingredients
1 cup cooked chicken breast
1/4 cup diced celery
1 hard boiled egg, diced
2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
1/3 cup mayonnaise
salt & pepper to taste
4 slices of wheat bread
leaf lettuce

Directions
Combine chicken, celery, egg, mayonnaise, relish, salt, and pepper.
Toast the bread.
Top 2 slices of toast with lettuce.
Divide chicken salad evenly over the lettuce.
Top with remaining slices of toast.

Dessert idea: homemade sherbert

I have never tried the Chicken Salad at CFA, so I will definitely have to make this! The relish sounds like a tasty and unexpected addition. Thanks!

This looks and sounds really good! It’s been a while since I had a chicken salad sandwich. I never thought of adding an egg to it. I’ll have to try your recipe.

Wow Joanne! That looks really, really good. I just loved when my grandma used to make these and I completely forgot about their existence. You have completely inspired me to make this at some point soon!

There are no Chick-Fil-As in my state, so I have never tasted their food, but this sandwich looks delish!

I love it when you can re-create your favorite dishes from places you eat. I also like it that you can have a little more control over what you put in it – like more or less mayo or relish!
